My lawn needs mowing again. It will get mowed today or tomorrow or in a day or two, but it will get mowed and then my lawn will be fine – for about a week or so. Then it needs to be mowed again. My lawn is not different from your lawn or from most anyone else.
Goodbye for now…
I find it tough to say goodbye, especially to loved ones. I took my second oldest son to the airport this morning. As a guy, I was all focused in on the task at hand. Wake him up (he was out nearly all night), find out the weight on his two large bags to check, and get to the airport in time to hopefully get his seat assignment changed.
Take me out to the ballgame!
Hunter, Carter, and I enjoyed going to the Metrodome Saturday night to see the Twins take on the Angels. We had a great night even though the home team stunk!
The End of the Season
As one of our coaches for Hunter’s baseball team said on Saturday, the end of the season is ‘bittersweet’! It is a long season with games and practice consuming most evenings and an occasional Saturday. It was also a wonderful season with a team of boys that played hard, did their best, and were a lot of fun to work with.

A Wonderful Get-away to a Wonderful Place
Earlier this week, Carrie and I were able to get away for a few days to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We chose an interesting Bed and Breakfast in an equally interesting small town in southeastern Minnesota. The B & B is the Historic Scanlon House and the town is Lanesboro. We stayed in a beautiful and spacious suite known as the Steeple Suite complete with whirlpool tub, full bathroom, queen size bed, multiple sitting chairs, a comfortable love seat sofa, and a modest TV with VCR and DVD player.
